Experience Counts...

We understand that finding the right service dog for your unique needs can be challenging and expensive. That's why we've created this course to empower you to train your own service dog at home, without breaking the bank.
Our program is specifically designed to teach you how to train your service dog to assist with tasks such as interrupting repetitive behaviors (stimming); providing deep pressure therapy during times of meltdowns; help with safety issues such as bolting or hiding; and improving verbal communication along with other social interactions.
We'll guide you step by step through the process of selecting a puppy, teaching basic obedience commands, , public access & socialization training, and the common disability specific tasks. What can an Autism Service Dog Do?
There are a variety of tools, techniques, and ways to utilize a Specially Trained Service Dog to assist with Autism. Here are some of the common ways we will teach you in this program...
Assist With Safety Issues
Decrease Bolting & Wandering Behaviors
Many individuals on the spectrum have no concept of safety or danger. From bolting towards the street, to stranger danger, to climbing on objects. These action can take just seconds to occur, but could have life long consequences.
A service dog can be trained to block from going into the street; resist bolting while tethered; bringing back the individual if they wonder away; and alerting you as a parent to something potentially dangerous.

Interrupt Or Reduce Meltdowns
Troubles with communicating needs, and transitioning to unfamiliar environments tends to lead to the individual getting extremely upset (meltdowns).
A service dog can help reduce the severity and frequency of meltdowns. Taking a meltdown that usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes down to a couple minutes in length.
Hinder Stimming or
Stop Self-Injurious Behavior
Stimming behavior can be considered anything from hand flapping, pattern walking, repeated verbalizations, or any repetitive behaviors that a person on the Autism Spectrum may do.
Many times, stimming and other Autism challenges can progress to more dangerous behaviors such as self-injurious behavior such as picking one's skin until they bleed; head banging against objects; or cutting.
A service dog can help reduce or redirect these types of behaviors

In this program, we teach you not only
how to train the service dog but...
how to use the Service Dog as a tool for Parents, Therapists, and teachers to connect with and mitigate the challenges of Autism. The additional benefits of an Autism Service Dog include:
Helping To Get Better Sleep At Night
